Thankyou for chatting with us. It certainly was the busiest chat-room I’ve been in so far. It’s good to hear that you learned a lot about engineering, I think I learned how interested you all are about various subjects.
It was obvious you’ve been finding out about space elevators and nanotechnology and are interested in various political and social aspects such as where money is being spent and ethical questions regarding polution and animal testing (I also learned I need to type faster if I need to keep up with you all!).
I was really really impressed with some of the opinions and discussions you were having and I’m really looking forward to more questions from you!

I really enjoyed it too!! Looking back at the chat I realise how many questions I missed….. I’ll type something up ready for Monday for the main ones!
And yes, I did learn something from you guys… I learned a bit about how you think, and what is important to you. Also, it’s easy to forget what is obvious to the outside world (people outside of this field of work) and what is not. It’s great to be reminded!
I’m amazed at the quality of the questions you’re all asking, they really show that you’re interested, and that you understand a lot already… you’d make great engineers!

I’m am learning so much from the students! You all ask GREAT questions, I’m so impressed. Many of these questions really get us thinking and rethinking about our work, even the questions that seem like they would be easy for us! I’m sure that all the engineers here are learning so much from this experience, just like I am! I am discovering new ways to communicate engineering work in innovative ways to young students because of this experience!

Howdy laceyc. πŸ™‚ I did enjoy chatting with all of you and it’s a shame you can’t stay for a little bit longer.

I learned that my typing is slow and I need to get up to speed. πŸ™

      Hi layec,

It was an amazing experience to chat with you young people! I am really happy with the quality of questions. And as Martin said I am also really glad that you learned something about engineering! as this is the whole idea behind ‘I am an engineer, get me out of here’ competition.

I learned about ‘what type of questions you guys have’, I learned that you people want to ‘learn and discover new things’, that you ‘want to do great things your lives’, that you ‘care about environment’……

I enjoyed chatting with you guys!
