On an average, engineers can expect decent salary. Graduate salary can range from £25,000 to £28,000 and peak salaries can go to £60,000/£70,000. But for earning very high salaries you need to have lot of (years of) experience.

Agreed. It’s plenty enough to live comfortably on!

Hello danielcawley. Pleased to meet you 🙂

Engineers with lots of experience can get paid really well.
It all depends on how dedicated you are and how much you want to learn.

Hi danielcawley! I currently get paid $24,000 dollars a year. That is enough to pay my rent, buy my food, pay for my electricity, and feed my dog, with money left over. 😉

I get paid a good salary which is enough to live on, buy nice things for myself and my wife, and enough to have nice holidays and weekends away.

You might find that some people aren;t allowed to say exactly what they get paid as it might be a lot more or less than people who they work with. Some people might get upset or angry if they found out they weren’t getting paid as much as someone else, for example I should be careful in case any of my colleagues were to read my salary on here.
What I will say is that when I started engineering after university I earned £22500 a year and it has gone up a bit every year after that.
