I didn’t think about working in the engineering business until I was choosing a university course. Before then I had no idea what career I wanted to do. I’m pleased I chose engineering though, it gives me the chance to find out the secrets behind how everything works. From mobile phones to roller coasters, everything uses some sort of engineering in order to work.

Hello max123. Pleased to meet you 🙂

No, but if I had known more about it when I was younger, I probably would have chosen engineering a lot sooner.

With engineering there are so many opportunities and choices, that there’s something to interest everyone. 🙂

      Hi max123,

      Sorry for the late reply.

I was not 100% sure about what type of work I will do after being an engineer. But I always wanted to be an engineer. In my undergraduate I really started to understand what engineering is and how it works. But I would say one thing, if you become an engineer, it gives you a different way of thinking, asking questions…..

Not always. I wanted to be a doctor when I was little, then a primary school teacher. I guess we all change our minds a few times!

Have you seen the TV programme “junior doctors”? What they do is fascinating, but there is a lot of pressure!

Not always… when I was young, I wanted to be a writer… or work in the medical field. Today, I want to work in the field that bridges engineering, science, and journalism!
