• Question: does your work require a lot of devotion?

      It does really help you do you job well if you enjoy what you are doing. I feel really lucky that I’m able to work in a job where I’m able to help people. I know that everything I design is being made to help someone feel better. That means that I really are that what I make is the best that I can do – I feel a lot of emotional attachment to the products and want them to succeed.
      As far as devotion goes, it is important to not get too overwhelmed by work, as it is not healthy to spend all of the time, both in and out of work, thinking about your job.
      Having a healthy balance between caring about your work, and also being able to relax well at home is the key to having a stress-free job.

    Hi baila007!!

    Martin is right, it is important not to get overwhelmed by work, and to have down time!!! I think that my job requires devotion, mostly because I am still in school, and to pay my way through school I work two part time jobs (which I love!!!) and I participate in every outreach / science communications event that I can on the side!! 🙂

    It is wonderful to find something you are passionate about 😉
